Friday Five

1. What is one food (or meal) you used to hate but now love?
I used to hate marzipan with a passion. Couldn’t eat it or anything with it on or in. Now I’ll eat it. Wouldn’t say I love it but I like it.

2. If you had to give up one of your favorite foods (or meals) for good, what would it be, and why?
It would be chicken fried rice. It’s my favourite ever meal and if you knew how much I loved it you’d know what a sacrifice it would be to give it up.

3. Which food seems like it should be healthy and isn’t, and do you eat it? Why?
Burgers full of lettuce often look like they should be healthy… but they aren’t… and I eat them… because they taste good!

4. If you were an item of food, personified, what would you be and why?
I’d be stale soup. Thick and off.

5. You’ve seen tomatoes and pies used for this purpose… now think of a more inventive item of food one could throw at someone. What is it and why would throwing it at someone be hilarious?
Bread. But made in a very special way! Using an automatic bread maker, follow the recipe for a normal white load but ignore the sugar. Leave it to bake for the allotted time in the bread maker. When you remove it, thanks to leaving out he sugar, you now have something the same size, shape and feel as a standard house brick. Throwing it at //**someone**// would be funny because it would knock them out and shut them up. It might even kill them.

1) If you’re dressing up (yourself or your kids) for Halloween, who are you/they going to be?
I doubt I will this year although over here I’ve discovered it’s a VERY big holiday. If I was it would usually be as a film monster of some sort.

2) Handmade costumes or store-bought?
Handmade are always best but very often it’s a lot easier to buy from a store.

3) What age did you last go trick-or-treating?
I think I was about 15 when I last did it for the fun although it was mainly just to walk about and poke fun at the little ‘uns.

4) Have you ever egged someone’s house on Halloween, or done any other such “trick”?
Yes.

5) Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?
I would say I had just one. There are three that seem to stick out. Mrs Pothitos (Drama), Mr. Preece (English) and Mr. Collingwood (Biology)

2. Why was that teacher so special?
Mrs. P – because she actually cared, was lovely and made an effort to help.
Mr. P – he made his lessons fun.
Mr. C – He treated you like an adult and actually gave respect.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?</strong>
I honestly don’t know how much teachers get paid so couldn’t answer this one.

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
Fifth year.

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?
Listen!
